How we started

Absence^© began in 1996 in Stuart Weirs bedroom, when Jamie and Stuart decided to start a band. To get a name they wrote words on bits of paper and selected one at random from a hat or suchlike. In the original line-up, Jamie Yohanis was guitarist, Stuart Weir was to be bassist and Craig Skilling was portrayed as being the drummer.

Then one fateful day

Stuart and Jamie decided to enter the school talent show (the day before) and asked Ross, David and Marc to play. On the day of the talent show the line-up was:Guitars-Ross, David, Jamie, Stuart;Bass - Marc;Singers-Jamie and David.

From then till now

After the roaring success of the talent show we decided a little practice was required along with plastic surgery etc.  We then began to grow our hair to achieve the non conformist status, that in fact we have still to acquire.  ANYWAY Jamie was then labelled the drummer (with a lack of drums), David and Stuart the guitarists and Marc the bassist. Jamie did not get the drums until long after he drummer title i.e. 18th Jan 1999. Anyway he now out of the band, is to get a GOOD singer and a drummer :)

About us what we like/dislike

In general here is what we like:

• Girls (Sorry no faggot boyz)
• Music (Korn, Deftones, Tool, Nirvana, Marilyn Manson etc)
• Making Music (i.e. NON-RAVE)
• Mocking crapness in general
• Tea drinking (Par Marc who prefers non-tea)

What we hate is a LONG list so we'll abbreviate it:

• Monkstowners (Except Tasha)(A nearby town claimed to be 'HARD')
• Conformity (People following trends or fashions)
• Dornan (A conformist girl who deeply disturbs the whole group with her 'beauty'*)
• McNeice (Loves McBurney and as above)
• CRAP (LIKED) MUSIC - In this country 'Happy hardcore' is the main music (piss poor) that and dance, techno, rave, blah, blah.
• School (Full of conformist raving arseholes and faggots)
• McBurney (Conforming 'HARD'* lad who Stuart beat the F*** out of)
