ANXIETY
MANAGEMENT John Connery
Counselling 2000
Anxiety
as a result of stress is one of - if not the
major contributing factors to poor health in most
areas of modern life. If you have ever been tense
before an exam or an interview or a visit to the
dentist, you have a good idea of what anxiety
feels like . Increased heart rate, sweating,
rapid breathing, a dry mouth, and a sense of
dread are common components of anxiety.
Brief
episodes of moderate anxiety are a normal part of
life for most people. But there are also those
were anxiety can be so intense, long standing, or
disruptive in their lives that normal living is
impossible.
The
discovery that alcohol and drugs can relieve this
anxiety unfortunately leads on in many cases to
dependency and addiction, so in is important to
find other ways to deal with it.
The
Floppy and CD Disc provides a comprehensive but
simple presented guide to 'Anxiety Management'
and in particular 'other ways' of coping . Use it
with your browser and go through the 4 sections
described left and fine out just how easy it can
be to cope.
