In 1898 C S Lewis was born in one of a pair of semi-detached houses, together called DUNDELA VILLAS.
MR ALAN SEATON created the painting below from memory, to show Dundela Villas as C S Lewis knew them.

The earliest photograph known of C S Lewis shows him as a baby on his father's knee. His older brother, WARREN, balances on the other knee. FLORA LEWIS stands behind.

Dundela Flats stand today on the site of DUNDELA VILLAS (demolished in 1952). In June 1998 the Centenary Group placed a memorial BLUE PLAQUE at DUNDELA FLATS.
