Roberta is
part of the CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) European Outreach
team based in Austria and Switzerland. The majority of her work
now involves training children's workers in Central and Eastern
Europe. Previously, before the fall of communism in these areas
she made regular trips behind the Iron Curtain to teach the
children herself but now finds it more fruitful to train local
people who can then go and spread the good news of the Gospel to
the children in their own countries. Roberta can be contacted at RStevenson@cefeurope.org
For further information on the work of CEF write to them at 175
Templemore Avenue, Belfast. BT5 or Tel: 01232 732263.
Bob
and Lenore serve the Lord in France and are not attached to any
organisation. They live and work in the town of Angers in
North-West France, where they work with all age groups. Some of
their activities include Bible teaching in the local church,
training youth leaders and organising camps for teenagers. They
are closely involved in a uniformed youth organisation called
"Flambeaux" and during the summer they organise camps
at "Les Chaumettes" , a campsite in the "Massif
Central" area about 6 hrs. drive from Angers (teenage camps
and family camps). If you would like more information or want to
be added to their prayer list contact Bob at RWSouza@aol.com
Drew, an Elder in Brooklands since its
formation is a well-known Bible Teacher and he has ministered in
the U.K., Eastern Europe, U.S.A. and Canada. Since 1984, he has
been involved in Eastern Europe and Romania in particular. He has travelled there extensively and still makes regular yearly visits
to preach and teach. A good overview of his work before and after
the fall of Communism is recorded in a fascinating testimony of
the Christians in Romania, who have suffered much over the years
for the sake of their Master. The book entitled 'Joy
in Shared Tears ' published by Ambassador
Publications, Hillview Street, Belfast, N. Ireland, can be
purchased in most Bible Bookshops but if you have any difficulty
please contact eddie.mcintosh@dnet.co.uk.
