This match followed the Donaghadee - Rainey Junior Cup game and began with a Select Fifteen of players, mostly from Shorts Club and with a few guests from the home club came to play a match as a charity fund-raiser for Killard House. Their opposition was a Donaghadee All-stars team comprising many who will play for the Seconds, Thirds and Fourths this year."
