The Neighbour's Dog

Sad
old dog
barks like hell.
Alone, angry -
keeps me awake past the dawn, sad, hungry.

Clouds

Mad
clouds burn
my retina.
Dark and bright they
heave with foreboding betraying the storm.

Wealth

Rich
northern
hemisphere.
Drinks money like
champagne. One fifth drink eighty-two percent.
These are a few Tetractys that I wrote last July. It is a new form, to rival the haiku made up of five lines
with a 1,2,3,4,10 syllable structure. The Neighbour's Dog came runner up in the first national Tetractys
competition.
