I decided recently to update this site quite majorly. Firstly the previous site was totally ugly and was only there originally as a storage area for the various FAQ editions. But many people still ask about the lyrics, meanings and about current news. So, in conjunction wiht the Online Guide, we designed what I believe to be a huge improvement. I have not designed it to be a one-stop-shop - there is much more to find out on the web, but it should be a good first stop and I will endeavour to keep the news as current as possible. The email list also allows us to contact you all with news and updates about any online activity.

I really must give a special note to Lisa for her excellent shrine site. When putting together these projects, I went searching for all the info I could find. I have tried to reference sources where possible, but some are unknown and I know I must have used articles etc. from her at some stage. Just to say a huge thanks.

As for the FAQ, I put it together about a year and a half ago because of a need both on the Newsgroup and mailing list for such a device for 'newbies'. I hope it has served its purpose well, growing at a tremendous rate and is now almost 100k in size! it comprises some old FAQs, namely Chad Kochel and Elaine Naiman's.
I hope I have done you justice.

This FAQ is being maintained by Barry Spendlove and will be archived at http://come.to/ccfaq and it's alias http://www.dnet.co.uk/users/dnetyjqy/ccfaq/newfaq.htm .

Much appreciation must be given to Elaine and members of the old mailing list for putting together the original and also to Chad Kochel for his FAQ. Thanks go out too to the people who transcribed the lyrics & articles on all the fan-sites.

This file is a work in progress and if your copy is more than 3 months old, then I suggest a visit to http://come.to/ccfaq for a newer version.

We should note that the lyrics and the music are the property of Counting Crows and that other copyrighted material may be used. If quotes are to be submitted, please keep them short and leave the bulk of the article available for purchase.

This FAQ may be copied freely so long as it is made available free of charge and completely intact, and it is the most current version available. Finally, if it is put on websites - I must insist that a link to the latest HTML version is used. - http://www.dnet.co.uk/users/dnetyjqy/ccfaq/newfaq.htm

Also, thanks to John Bailey for sending me Adam's Lyric sheets.
