Over the past few years researchers have kindly provided  interesting letters, documents and family histories  from their McCartan ancestors.  On occasions I have supplied information from these sources to help others.  This has enabled many to establish their links to Ireland.  Several have found their long lost cousin and located the old homestead.  These successes confirm the vital role of such information.

My intention is to create a database confined to documents associated with the McCartans.  They will be indexed by: year of departure, location in Ireland and country of immigration.

Documents relating to other family names will also be made available on a separated database and indexed by name, year of departure, location in Ireland and country of immigration.
