Horizontal Tide Mill at Nendrum

Finds

Early in the excavation, the bones of a horse were found, probably dating from well after the mill was disused.
Lower down other domestic animal bones, Red Deer bones and traces of iron slag.
Pottery was all of the type known as Souterrain ware:

From a trench into the millpond wall, came a little amber bead:
