Origins of the organisation:

The Cornerstone Community evolved out of a cross-community prayer group, called Clonard Prayer Group. Situated in West Belfast, the Cornerstone Community is a small group of Protestant and Catholic Christians. There are fifteen members (men and women), three of whom live in the Community House on the 'PeaceLine' between the areas of the Falls and the Shankill. The rest live and/or work locally and represent all social, economic and religious backgrounds. The symbolic value of being together in the midst of polarization is considered to be the Community's most important feature and is held up as a sign of hope.
