6th June 2000

Dehumanizer are indeed NOT playing the Rosetta on the 10th June due to lack of practice, and the greater desire to write. So, for the time being, we will be stepping back from playing live in order to rehearse, write and possibly record. So watch this space, particularly the new songs page.

6th June 2000

Next gig has been confirmed as Saturday 10th June at the Rosetta Bar with Malkuth and Oops. Come up and see us if you can.

27th May 2000

Long time no update kids - see the gig pages for gig reviews of stuff I didnt have time to put up. After our spectacular battle of the bands win on thursday, we've had record company interest, magazine interest, and a bunch of other shit, with the upshot we'll be recording something (be it covers or originals, if they're finished) sometime within the next 2 weeks. Tracks up as soon as they're done.

21st April 2000

It's original material time, kids. Following a quite productive writing session yesterday, a half-completed song going by the working title "Wreckage" has been written, with several more underway. Watch this space for sound samples as soon as they're done.

2nd April 2000

Well our first gig finally happened then..... it was quite an experience and we can't wait to be back up there again. Look out for the tighter, probably expanded Dehumanizer gigging again very soon. Check the gigs page for the setlist and reaction from band members and some other people. Big thanks have to go out at this point to everyone who came to see us (espescially Dorinda + Pamela - probably the 2 biggest [read: only] Dehumanizer fans), Psychotribe for the support slot and loan of gear, Eamonn for restoring order to the stage after the "incident", and big, big thanks to Andy Allen without whom none of this would have been possible.

15th Feb 2000

Right sorry about all this chopping and changing folks - we're no longer playing the 18th, but Hexxed still are so get out and support 'em. So, once again, the very first Dehumanizer gig will be on the 25th of march at the Rosetta, supporting the mighty Psychotribe on their 2nd demo launch. So that's:

DEHUMANIZER
ROSETTA BAR
MARCH 25TH
SUPPORTING PSYCHOTRIBE
"SLOW SPEED TIME TRAVEL" RELEASE GIG

5th Feb 2000

Well, we've finally got round to updating this so just a few quick words on what weve been at over the past few weeks.

The practice schedule has really taken off - getting 3 songs really tight in 2 hours is no mean feat. Since then the band has mostly been arguing about what other songs to play - and harrassing Rosetta MC/Psychotribe drummer Alan Burns for a gig. One other note - Mike isn't singing any more - "my throat is too bad and my guitar playing suffers too much", so any prospective singers out there drop us a line. Take note - no rappers, no growlers and absolutely NO Fred Durst wannabes. We have at least 2 guest singers for the first gig - we were really impressed with both of them so we are giving them 3 songs each - unless someone else comes into the picture before the gig which is doubtful. Anyway, we have a six song set sorted after much debate. Right - now for the big news:

DEHUMANIZER
ROSETTA BAR
MARCH 25TH
SUPPORTING PSYCHOTRIBE
"SLOW SPEED TIME TRAVEL" RELEASE GIG

Be there or be somewhere else but dont miss it - this one's gonna be huge.

Also, good luck to our mates Hexxed who play their debut gig before us at the Rosetta in support of the mighty Honey For Christ on the 18th of March - total brutality guaranteed.

5th Feb 2000

Ladies and Gentlemen.... Dehumanizer have arrived. Following a particularly ripping practice last night, in which 2 songs were near perfected, the names of which are strictly confidential, the band are rapidly approaching the tightness of the proverbial gnat's chuff, so watch this space for details of the debut gig coming up in the very near future. We could put sound samples up... but that'd spoil the surprise really:) In other news, Mike (finally) has his ESP back, and very pleased about this he is too.

1st Feb 2000

Dehumanizer has been offered a gig with the mighty plain krazy some time in the near future!! Dates and venues have not yet been settled but it WILL happen and it is not to be missed. Speaking of Plain Krazy - Mike would like to sincerely appologise for his singing on saturday night!! In his defence he states "I was severely pissed man!! I couldnt even remember the words to Sweet Leaf, so im hardly gonna be able to sing. All i can say is Dehumanizer's vocals will sound nothing like that, unless i'm pissed again with a sore throat when im on stage)" - and rest assured, if this happens he'll be taken to one side and given a sound kicking. In other news Mike and Psychotribe's Jim Seymour are getting their heads together to write some songs and stuff. Whether or not they will be played by Dehumanizer or Psychotribe, or indeed both, remains to be seen at this stage.

25th Jan 2000

Dehumanizer were a new 5-piece based in the greater Belfast area of Northern Ireland. Now they aren't. Founding Dehumanizer "member" Dave McCall has been turfed out on his ear due to lack of commitment, and frankly lack of being in his house, ever. Funny thing is, he doesn't know yet, cause we can't get hold of him. If your reading this Dave, Mike would like his ESP back pronto. And NOT chipped. In other news, Dave G is now the proud owner of five sixths (for now) of a shiny new Jsckson PS4. At this point Mike would like it pointed out that his Jackson is considerably pointier than Daves. At this point Dave would like it pointed out that his BC Rich is considerably pointier, at least from the point of view of having more points than Mike's Jackson. What the point of pointing the points out is, we don't know. More to the point the practice schedule now exists and is accelerating like a nigger after a dinner ticket. Recordings of other peoples music shall probably be made at this thursays session (no sniggering at the back) in such a shitty fashion you'll think its Stone Cold :-)

Dehumanizer!!!!!!!!!
Dehumanizer are a new 5-piece based in the greater Belfast area of Northern Ireland. But then you probably knew that already seeing as you're reading this website. We aim to play our own brand of Heavy Fuckin' Metal and have a damn good time doing it. The site's a bit empty at the minute, but it'll fill up pretty damn quickly. Have a look about, sign the guestbook and email me (Dave G - your resident webmaster and guitarist) with any queries or whatever. More news as it comes.
