This first one is a recording of Air Force One on approach to Belfast International Airport (Aldergrove) during Bill Clinton's visit to Northern Ireland. There are 5 smaller files which run in order and one large one which contains the whole clip. The controller you can hear is UAS vice-chairman Ray Burrows. Click on the title to download.

Close your eyes and let your imagination do the rest. The sound is that of a Rolls Royce Merlin engine. The aircraft is a P51 Mustang.

Then comes the opposition. A bf109 coughs into life in the first clip and in the second, a fly-by.

Another legendary radial engined aircraft, the Gee Bee R2 racer.
