Point of Being

I have several aims for this site, first and foremost I want this to be a place for discussion, on philosophy, religious and moral issues. The second is that it will continue to be a source of information for anybody who wants it.

The site itself is the third generation of personal sites to have filled this space in the ether, and I hope they have improved and matured along with myself over the past few years. The Pagan slant has been reduced, though the information itself can still be viewed, this is largely due to the fact that there are vast numbers of Pagan sites on the web, and those such as Witchvox deal with most issues anyway.

Philosophy

The Ring is about knowledge, personally I think that this is the ultimate goal. To gain knowledge is to increase yourself, to know and to understand is a worthy aim for any life. What's the point in having an intelligence if we do nothing more with it than drown it in beer and bore it with TV?

So, the Ring is in favor of choice, personal privacy and responsibility and against censorship, proselytization and forced conformation. To read the full blown thoughts on such matters, read some of the articles posted in the thoughts and essays section.
