by Steve Day LISTEN IN EVERYONE, How much of a survivalist do you consider yourselves to be ? How ready are you ? Do you really feel that you are all now in a position in which you can survive and flourish in a hostile situation. WHAT would YOU do if I or another contact informed you that at 8.31 am on Monday that a disaster was about to fall upon us? What intel have you got? Is your kit and transport/logistics ready now, can you if neccessary fight your way out of your cities and get to your retreat / safe haven ? How long can you stay out for ?. No retreat where will you go? To whom will you align yourself ? DO NOT FORGET THE FIRST RULE OF SURVIVALISM " NEVER BECOME A REFUGEE " relying on the good will of strangers or in the safe hands of the government to feed and shelter you. This country now only has 3 days worth of food in store , after that its everyman for himself, REMEMBER THIS FACT, ITS BEEN PROVEN ACROSS THE WORLD SINCE TIME BEGAN THAT CIVILISATION IS ONLY 2 MEALS AWAY FROM CHAOS AND ANARCHY. In the UK we survivalists are a very small but very enlightened part of society, who ask for nothing only the right to live in a safe and secure environment, living to our own standards and values. However, no man is an island and at times we all need help from others. What would you do for example if the effects of global warming or an earthquake led tsunami began to engulf the south of England, permanantly covering the home counties under water as far north as Derbyshire (Apart from us northerners who would celebrate !!) Or perhaps civil war broke out in Ulster and it got so tragically nasty that it spread to Scotland ? Maybe the government joins the euro and a week later it collapses causing total economic disaster, Perhaps genetically modified seed gets out and cross breeds with the other grasses and produces one bumper harvest before dying out because its a sterile hybrid ? It could be anyone of a million reasons and maybe you wont survive the initial disaster, BUT WHAT IF YOU DO ? The law of the jungle will prevail and the simple matter is that whoever is the best prepared and has access to the best resources/locations and intelligence will most likely survive to be able to rebuild their lives . A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO SOME OF THE PROBLEMS There are no certain guarantees in life but you can try to make the best of what is available What has been put forward by some survivalists around the UK is a national system of mutual support and cooperation sharing training /knowledge /intelligence and if neccessary resources , Without one group or person disrespecting the values, ideas and beliefs of the other members with whom they will associate. An initial Rendezvous for UK survivalists has now been arranged for the weekend of 29th Sept-1st Oct. 2000 at a location in Northern England.
