The U.K Survival Listserver

After some considerable length of downtime the UK Survival Listserver is back up and running again. Subscription is still open to all who are interested, simply drop me a line and I'll add you. However in addition to the rules listed below new subscibers will be expected to post an "intro" within 48 hours of being subscribed to the system detailing their interests and reason for wishing to be a part of the community. Also, all subscribers are required to participate in discussions on a regular basis, failure on either of these points will result in a gentle reminder, then unsubscription should the request not be met. These rules are for the benefit of all on the list.

RULES OF THE LIST

    • The purpose of the list is to discuss matters relating to survival and preparedness, off-topic posts should clearly be marked "off-topic" in the header of the message. Excessive off-topic posting is forbidden.
    • No "flaming" or personal insults.
    • No profanity - There are various opinions as to what constitutes profanity, in this case my decision is final :-)
    • No discussion of illegal activity.
    • Advertising by commercial organisations is forbidden. Personal For Sale/Wanted ads are acceptable.
    • No binary attachments. There is a 100k limit in force on all postings anything bigger gets bounced. If you have a binary you wish to share either offer it by personal e-mail to subscribers or post it to nick@nemisis.dnet.co.uk and I'll put it up and post a URL.
    • The list is UK-centric, discussions of topics which are not applicable to the UK should be carried out via private e-mail.
    • By subscribing to the list you agree to the above rules, breaking any of them constitutes abuse of the system. Transgressors will get ONE warning, further abuse will result in forcible unsubscription.
    • In certain circumstances, i.e flagrant system abuse or deliberate 'trolling' no warning will be given, the transgressor and his postings will be instantly removed.

By adhering to the above regulations we can make the list a useful and enjoyable experience for all.
